Nespresso Citiz Espresso Maker with Aeroccino Milk Frother

I got the opportunity to stay at a hotel some time ago and they had the Nespresso Citiz Espresso Maker in the room. So I gave it a try one morning. Much to my delight it was very easy to make and the espresso was delicious. Since I didn’t want to have to play around with a manual espresso machine, with all the work that entails, I thought I would purchase the Nespresso with the milk frother so that I could enjoy a latte every morning.

I have to say that this machine works better than I expected and I love having a latte every day. I would only have a latte once in a while because I didn’t want to have to pay for one at a coffee shop every day. It has now been several months and this espresso machine is still working just great. Mornings would not be the same without my latte!

I’m glad I didn’t get a manual espresso machine because mornings are busy enough getting ready for work and I didn’t want to have grind the beans, brew the coffee, steam the milk and then have to deal with all the cleanup.

Nespresso Citiz Espresso Maker Features

  • Easy insertion and ejection of capsules
  • Holds 10 used capsules
  • Removable 34-ounce water tank
  • Integrated Aeroccino milk frother
  • Fast preheating time: 25 seconds
  • Automatic power off after 9 minutes of inactivity

The Nespresso Espresso Maker is very easy to use. I simply insert the prepackaged espresso capsule that I purchased, push the button for a small or large shot and voila, espresso! This machine is a 19-bar pressure driven espresso maker so when it is combined with good quality coffee grinds is brews an unbelievably great cup of espresso. The espresso has a surprisingly rich crema as well.

When it comes to the milk frother, it is so easy to use. All I do is add the milk, but on the lid and place it on the machine and press the button. It comes with two attachments: one to froth the milk and one that warms up the milk but doesn’t frother it. It also turns itself off to let you know it is done. The only downside is that the milk is not as hot as using real steam, but I don’t like super-hot coffee anyway.

Perhaps the only other downside is having the buy the capsules from Nespresso. However, I have to say they arrive very quickly when I do order any. They may be a bit expensive, but I thinking going to Starbucks or other coffee shops is probably more expressive.

Nespresso has a wide variety of different types of beans including decaffeinated.

If you are an espresso drinker and you are looking for a machine that is easy to use, then I whole heartedly recommend the Nespresso Citiz Espresso Maker.
